The Cottages of Swansboro is a licensed Assisted Living Community nestled in the quaint, coastal town of Swansboro, North Carolina. We are located directly adjacent to the coastal bays and the White Oak River, and a short drive from the Crystal Coast Islands.

Our story

Our family has three generations of providing exceptional health care and homes for seniors. Andrew and Anna Wilson both share the same passion for assisting and caring for seniors as well as the desire to provide comfortable, affordable, quality health care and housing to the next generation of seniors. Our business is a family built, family owned, and family run facility and we pride ourselves on being directly connected to every aspect of the business and being family oriented. It is becoming more and more common and accepting for assisted living communities to be large institutional, hospital like facilities where staff is spread thin and residents feel disconnected with care providers. Anna’s Grandmother and Grandfather, a farmer and a school teacher (Riley and Margaret Evans) began the family business by building a small assisted living home in Bladen County to meet the needs of aging neighbors back in the 1950s. Andrew and Anna hope to provide the same comfort of living at a home rather than at a corporate institute or hospital by mimicking the original style of assisted living the Evans family built through the unique style of The Cottages of Swansboro.

“The Cottages of Swansboro facility is a very welcomed and needed use in our community.”
— Charles Lanier, Attorney and Resident of Swansboro
